Polarized NuPolar lenses are known for their ability to block glare reflected from certain flat surfaces. This makes them very popular among people who spend a lot of time outdoors, whether on the mountains, on the road, or around bodies of water. Polarized NuPolar lenses are ideal for mountain activities (for skiers) as the intense sun creates glare on the snow, which negatively affects eye health. Additionally, these lenses are designed for boating, fishing, sunbathing on the beach, and for anyone else who is bothered by sun glare outdoors.
Polarized NuPolar lenses can be especially useful for driving, as they reduce reflection from cars and reflective objects. Some people who are sensitive to light, including those who have recently had cataract surgery, may also benefit from polarized lenses
NuPolar polarized lenses have a built-in filter that blocks bright, reflected light. This intense light is known as reflection. When reflection is reduced, our eyes feel more comfortable and we see more clearly our environment. The built-in filter (0.3 mm thick) is located on the surface of the lens covered with a protective layer of lens material, 0.5 mm thick. For these reasons, the NuPolar lens is 0.8 mm thicker than the standard one.
